  1. Who can play the ERGO prediction game?
The separate page on our Terms and Conditions of Participation contains further details in this regard.

  2. Will playing the ERGO prediction game cost me anything?
No, playing the ERGO prediction game is of course absolutely free of charge. Indeed, with a little luck, you may even win one of our attractive prizes.

  3. Which rules need observing?
The separate page on our rules contains further details in this regard.

  4. I did not receive an e-mail following my registration for the purpose of activating my user ID. What should I do?
You may have entered an incorrect e-mail address, for which reason you will not have received the e-mail. In such a case, contact us and we will assist you. Another reason could be that the e-mail has incorrectly landed in a so-called spam folder in your inbox. Please also check there.

  5. What is the deadline for submitting my predictions?
The predictions for a match day may be submitted up until one hour prior to the commencement of the first match on such match day. Anyone who submits predictions at a later point in time may only submit predictions for those matches which commence at least one hour later. When submitting predictions it should be noted that predictions should invariably be submitted for all games at once. A prediction may be changed up to one hour prior to the commencement of the first match.
In addition, some bonus questions need answering for which predictions must be submitted until the start of the prediction game.

  6. I cannot submit my predictions. An error message keeps appearing informing me that I am not logged on despite the fact that I have just done so. What am I doing wrong?
You have probably deactivated the cookies in your browser. When you log onto the website, a so-called session cookie is created on your computer by means of which you are identified as the same user when you next click on the website. If these cookies are deactivated, this mandatory information is lost, meaning that the system no longer knows who wishes to submit predictions. Important: cookies must be activated in your browser in order that this website can be accessed correctly! For additional information in this regard please see our separate page on cookies. A further additional cause could be firewall software installed on your PC which might block the cookies. Finally, it may also be simply due to the fact that you are not registered for the current prediction game. In rare cases it can happen because of a previous technical problem that you are not yet registered for the current prediction game. In this case, once you have logged on, call up the page Prediction game registration and subsequently confirm your participation.

  7. I have not received an e-mail following the submission of my predictions, despite the fact that I have submitted them. What should I do?
Since the possibility that an e-mail goes missing cannot be precluded, the surest method of checking whether or not your predictions really have been stored in our system is to call up the Display predictions menu item beneath the "Prediction game" section (do not forget to log on beforehand). The submitted predictions are displayed here. Your predictions are only stored in our system if they are displayed here. If you have received an e-mail, you can definitely assume that your predictions have been correctly stored in our system. However, it is also possible that you may have deactivated the prediction submission confirmation e-mail in your user profile.

  8. What do "joker games" entail?
The games of the major clubs of the six ERGO main locations (Fortuna Duesseldorf, Hamburger SV, FC Cologne, Bayern Munich, Hertha Berlin, Union Berlin, FC Nuernberg) shall count as jokers and the points doubles for a correct result trend, a correct goal difference or an exact score (in other words, a total of two, four or six points) for these games. The final also automatically constitutes a joker match.

  9. My e-mail address has changed. Where can I change it?
For security reasons you must change your e-mail address yourself on the website. To this end, log onto the website and then call up the Change e-mail address menu item. You can change your e-mail address here accordingly.

  10. Where do I find out my current standing and the number of players?
You can always find out the number of points which you have currently been awarded and your standing in the match day and overall classifications via the Prediction results menu item in the "Prediction game" section. The current number of players is also displayed here so that you can assess your result accordingly.

  11. What belongs in the visitors' book and what does not?
Our visitors' book (guestbook) is intended to express praise and objective criticism of our prediction game. You are also welcome to submit suggestions for improvement there or report any errors. However, details of individual problems with the prediction game do not belong in the visitors' book. In such a case please contact us via e-mail. We will then help you accordingly. Please bear in mind that your entries will also be read by other prediction game players...

  12. What is a prediction game team?
A prediction game team is a group of users who have joined forces to form a team. This enables the team members to discover their current number of points and the standing of all the team users via a special team results table. Thus, for example, it is possible to play, as it were, an "internal" prediction game with colleagues, friends or acquaintances. In the first instance, the so-called team leader needs to create a new prediction game team. The team leader may then invite other users to join their prediction game team. Alternatively, it is also possible that they notify the team ID and the team password to other users who will then be able to register themselves for the prediction game team. Via a corresponding management page, the team leader can see which team member has not yet submitted a prediction and, if and when necessary, also send e-mails to the team users. A prediction game team may also be created in the form of a public prediction game team, in other words, every prediction game player may join this team without entering the team password. From 4 team members upwards, prediction game teams also automatically participate in a team classification. Additional information in this regard is contained in the Special rules for prediction game teams.
